Bangladesh A knocked out Pakistan A by 54 runs in the semi-final of the ACC Women’s Asia Cup Rising Stars 2026 on February 20 in Bangkok. The match was played at the Terdthai Cricket Ground, and Bangladesh now meets India A in the final on February 22.
Bangladesh batted first and put up 110 for 8 in 20 overs. It was not a big score, but captain Fahima Khatun made sure it was enough to defend. She walked in at 39 for 2 in the eighth over and batted through to the end, finishing on 40 not out off 32 balls with five fours. The top order gave starts but didn’t convert. Shamima Sultana made 13, Ishma Tanjim got 12, and Sarmin Sultana chipped in with 15. No one outside Fahima crossed that mark.
Pakistan A needed 111 to win. They never came close. Two wickets went in the power play, and the innings kept crumbling from there. Between overs six and twelve, five more wickets went down. Pakistan were all out for 56 in 16.4 overs.
Eight of their batters failed to reach double figures. Shawaal Zulfiqar top-scored with 14, captain Hafsa Khalid made 12, and Yusra Amir added 11. That was the full extent of their resistance.
Bangladesh Bowlers Shut Down the Chase
The Bangladesh bowling was too good for Pakistan on this pitch. Sanjida Akter Meghla was the standout performer. She took 3 for 6 in 3.4 overs and bowled at an economy of 1.60, which made scoring almost impossible.
Fahima Khatun backed her up with 2 for 6 in three overs. Farjana Easmin, Fatema Jahan, and Fariha Trisna each got one wicket. Five different bowlers chipped in, and not one of them was easy to score off. These are the kind of young cricket stars who make this tournament worth watching every edition.
Pakistan bowlers worked hard during Bangladesh’s innings. Hafsa Khalid took 2 for 25, and Omaima Sohail, Momina Riasat, Waheeda Akhtar, and Anosha Nasir each took one wicket. But their batting had no answer to what Bangladesh threw at them.

Fahima Khatun Won the Player of the Match Award
Fahima picked up the Player of the Match award for her work with both bat and ball. Her 40 not out held the Bangladesh innings together at a time when things could have gone wrong quickly. She then bowled a tight spell and was also involved in a run-out.

Bangladesh Will Face India in the Final
India A beat Sri Lanka A by five wickets in the first semi-final to set up Sunday’s final. Bangladesh A and India A will meet at the Terdthai Cricket Ground on February 22. The two sides played in the 2023 final as well, when India won in Hong Kong. Bangladesh now gets another shot at the title.
Pakistan is out of the tournament. Bangladesh has two days to prepare for the biggest game of this campaign.
