When it comes to cricket, Australia is a team to be reckoned with. Their U19 Women’s World Cup win against Scotland, achieved in record time, showcases the dominance of the ladies on the global stage.
The women’s team from Australia made a meal out of the challenge provided to them. Only 2 Scottish batters were able to get into the double-digit score, enough to highlight the dominance of the team in yellow.

The biggest highlight of the game was the bowling of the Australian cricket team. They won the toss and decided to bowl first and the rest was history.

As Australians are always regarded as a strong bowling unit, they dismantled the Scotland batting attack with ease. The opening duo of Bray and Eleanor were unstoppable.
Particularly it was Caoimhe Bray, who went on to pick up 3 wickets by giving away only 1 run in the total of 3.1 overs. A hold of beautiful line and length meant that wickets kept falling.
Bray was well supported by Eleanor Larosa, who took 3 herself along with Harsat Gill who took 2 wickets of her own. There were only 3 boundaries hit for Scotland, which proves life wasn’t easy in the middle.
Other Results at Women’s U19 T20 World Cup 2025
Similar to Australia, there were other games taking place as well. Even though no other game was as one-sided as Australia’s U19 World Cup win against Scotland, there were still good games.
England Women were playing against Ireland, while Nigeria was up to take the fight against Samoa. Added to that, New Zealand played South Africa, and the Nepal vs. Bangladesh match was a close call.
Lastly, the game between Pakistan and USA was also scheduled to be played. Interestingly, three of these games had no results or were abandoned by the continuous rain.
Meanwhile, South Africa went on to defeat New Zealand in the close game by 22 runs while Bangladesh inched past the total of 52 winning by 5 wickets. With no other games bringing in results, the teams shared a point.
Upcoming Fixtures on Women U-19 World Cup
As the 2nd day of the tournament comes through there will only be 2 matches played. The Srilanka U19 women’s team will be up against the likes of Malaysia U-19.
The second match will be between the defending champion India against the likes of West Indies. Srilanka U19 women might be a favoured team, but the contest between India U-19 women and West Indies U19 will be a fun match to watch.
There is a forecast of rain, but we expect both fixtures to yield results.
