The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the venues for the T20 World Cup matches, which will be held in two countries: India and Sri Lanka.
Earlier, the venues were only shortlisted; now, we have the confirmed ICC Menβs T20 World Cup 2026 venues in India and Sri Lanka.
Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, Delhi, and Chennai have been selected as the venues for the T20 World Cup 2026 in India, while the other games will be hosted in Colombo (two locations) and Kandy in Sri Lanka.
Similarly, the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad and the Eden Gardens in Kolkata have been shortlisted as World Cup Semis venues. However, if Pakistan or Sri Lanka advance to the semifinals; the venues will be changed to Colombo. If neither team qualifies, the venue will stay put.
The T20 World Cup 2026 venue for the final has been selected as Ahmedabad, unless Pakistan qualifies for the finals. In which case, the title match would be relocated to Sri Lanka as part of the agreement between the BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) and the PCB (Pakistan Cricket Board). An approach best suited for playing in neutral venues during multi-nation events.
Moreover, the ICC has ruled to leave the confirmation open until the knockout stages.

Out of 20 teams, the two highest-ranking teams in each group will proceed to the Super Eight stage, divided into four groups.
The two best finishers in each Super Eight group will then proceed to the semifinals, where host India or Sri Lanka will facilitate the World Cup Semis venues, and then to the final.
India, the defending champion, will benefit from home advantage with the semifinals set in India, and will seek to defend its title following its dramatic win against South Africa in the 2024 T20 World Cup final in Barbados.
