A lot of Indian fans have speculated that the pitches won’t be ready before the tournament starts, but PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi didn’t shy away from answering all of these questions.

Everyone was keen to see how Mohsin Naqvi would react to all the allegations. Well, the PCB chief didn’t take a step back. Naqvi clarified that Pakistan won’t leave any stone unturned to make the tournament a major success.
Mohsin further adds that there were people from across the border and others who thought the Champions Trophy would be moved out of Pakistan due to stadiums not being ready. Today, we are excited to announce that the stadiums are ready for the tri-series and Champions Trophy.
The PCB chief didn’t hold back at all. Naqvi claims that people in India are looking for the tiny flaws in the stadiums and arrangements, but Pakistan won’t give them that opportunity. Lastly, Mohsin stated PCB is working day and night and that the tournament will be a success.

No Captain Photoshoots and Meets For Champions Trophy
A lot of the fans were expecting that there would be the captain photoshoots and the captain meeting before the tournament, but that wouldn’t be possible.
Mohsin Naqvi has clarified that due to the hectic schedule and the different arrival times of other captains, the captain’s meeting had to be canceled.
However, to console the situation, there will be an inauguration ceremony on 16th February in Lahore. It will be key to see whether the Indian captain will be present there. The overall tournament will start on 19th February.
Tickets for the First Champions Trophy Match Sold Out
Fans in Pakistan and all over the world will be jubilant by the news that the tickets for the first match of the tournament, New Zealand vs Pakistan, have been sold out. Tickets for 3 of the matches have been completely sold out online.
Pakistan vs New Zealand on 19th February, Australia vs England on 22nd February, and Pakistan vs Bangladesh on 27th February. This shows that the interest in the tournament is sky-high.
Pakistan Cricket Board had made 30% of the tickets available for online sale. Meanwhile, physical ticket sales will only be possible from 3rd February with over 100 outlets around the country.
A total of 28000 tickets have already been sold. According to the news, 500 more seats have been added to the spectator’s ticket list to provide a more complete experience.
Addressing this particular topic too, Mohsin Naqvi stated that PCB will do everything possible to ensure as many fans as possible in the cricket stadiums. With new facilities, the spectator’s numbers are bound to increase.
