Injuries have been the friend of Sneh Rana over time and that has impacted her career. A handy off-spinner who can bat a bit, Sneh has made a resounding comeback to the Indian national side.
Rana might be brilliant in test cricket, but her ODI form and place have been a question. After the tri-series win in Sri Lanka, Sneh Rana is focusing on the worldcup return that will take place next year.
Strong Comeback To The White Ball Setup
There is no doubt that Sneh Rana is an important test player for the Indian team. But the white ball game had declined for the spinner. It was only that RCB took her as a replacement player in WPL 2025, and she started doing well.
Looking at her bowling, she was picked in the ODI tri-series against Sri Lanka after almost 18 months. She justified her selection. Sneh Rana was the player of the series, picking up 15 wickets.
The tri series proved to be important for her. An economy rate of 4.73 in the batting-friendly conditions of Sri Lanka shows her form and grit. Sneh also holds the record for most wickets in a tri-series, beating Nooshin Al Khadeer’s record of 14 wickets.

Her past stats: Inconsistent White Ball Record
Sneh has hardly been considered as a T20I bowler in the Indian setup. With Deepti Sharma on the side, the right-arm off-spinner isn’t much of the talk in the Indian setup.
The recent form of Sneh Rana hasn’t been great in the ODI setup, though. Following the home series against Australia in December 2023, Sneh has lost her place in the ODI setup.
It was in the same year that Sneh was also dropped from the T20I setup as India crashed out of the World T20 against Australia. Following this, she was also released by the Gujarat Titans in the WPL.
Sneh Rana Views About The Comeback
Following her great performance with the ball in hand, Sneh Rana is making a T20I comeback this year in the series against England.
Her past experience of bowling well in England has warranted her selection. Talking to India Today, she shared her experience and what she looks forward to.
Rana stated that she was feeling confident with her performance and waited for the right time. She also clarified that bowling in the tri-series in Sri Lanka was by far her best bowling effort.
Interestingly, Sneh Rana is focusing on the worldcup return and wishes to contribute to India in the run to the title. The 2026 season is about the Women’s T20 world cup which will be taking place in England.
With the bowling experience in England along with India’s brilliant record in the UK, Sneh Rana seemed confident, India would do well in the competition.
