He stated that the Indian women’s cricket team’s recent performance has been inspiring. Hosting a World Cup match in Vizag will bring out considerable support for the home team.

Women’s World Cup in India
Although the improvement in the women’s game has been visible, it seems like the tournament hasn’t been held in India for a very long time.
It is after a 12-year gap that India will be hosting games of the Women’s ODI World Cup. Interestingly, Pakistan will play its games in Sri Lanka according to the available news.
The Women’s ODI World Cup will be played from 30th September to 2nd November in India and Sri Lanka. A total of 5 venues have been selected for the tournament.
With the interest of the fans, grounds in Bengaluru, Guwahati, Indore, Visakhapatnam, and Colombo will be hosting the all-important matches.
2025 Women’s World Cup Teams and Formats
In order to keep the format, and all of the games exciting, a total of 8 teams will be part of the tournament. Australia, India, New Zealand, England, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Pakistan will take part in the competition.
Australia will be the strongest team as they are the defending champions. Meanwhile, the tournament will be played in a round-robin format. Every team will play another team to reach the semifinals.
The top 4 teams by the end of the group stage will play the semifinals and the finals. A total of 31 matches will be played to find out who lifts the trophy.
