One of the talented batters of domestic cricket, Priyansh Arya, made headlines, and everyone is talking about him.
Right before coming into the IPL, Arya also scored a brilliant century for Punjab Kings.
Priyansh Arya IPL Price
Before the IPL mega-auction 2025, Priyansh Arya set his base price at Rs 30 lakhs, which wasn’t too huge.
Interestingly, only 2 teams were interested in Arya, and they were RCB and PBKS.
Both of them went all in and bid for the left-handed opening batter. For the base price of 30 lakhs, Punjab won the bid.
Priyansh Arya’s IPL was set at Rs 3.8 crores by the Punjab Kings. Fair to say that the price is justified.

Early Life of Priyansh Arya
Born on 18th January 2001, Priyansh Arya was born in Delhi. He was interested in cricket from a very young age. Even though he comes from a family of teachers, his undying love for the game proved to be the difference.
Priyansh Arya trained under the same coach as Gautam Gambhir, who is called Sanjay Bhardawaj.
Growing up, Arya idolized Gautam Gambhir and played cricket the same way he did. A left-handed elegant batter.
Priyansh Arya Smashes an IPL Century
When the Punjab Kings’ batting was struggling big times, Priyansh Arya came to the fore and made the difference. In the game against Chennai Super Kings, Priyansh made a startling century.
Facing a total of 42 balls, Arya made 103 runs with the bat in hand. His innings had a total of 7 fours and 9 sixes, which turned out to be a matter of difference. With a total of 219 runs, Arya’s century was massive, also winning player of the match.
Besides Priyansh, it was a half-century from Shashank Singh that saved the boat for Punjab. As Chennai batted second, they couldn’t chase down the total and lost the game by 18 runs.
Cricket Career
Readers might be shocked to know that Priyansh Arya is new to professional cricket. He made the List A debut in November 2023 and the T20 debut in November 2021. Right from the start, he has set the tone higher.
In a total of 22 T20 matches, Priyansh has made 731 runs, which adds to his IPL runs too. Moreover, in the List A format, he has 77 runs from 7 innings, which isn’t too motivating at all.
As Priyansh plays more and more cricket, his form and experience will rise, which will be beneficial. Easy to say the signs are there for him to be one of the best in cricket.
