IPL 2026 Also Gets Full Schedule on the Same Day
Along with that, the BCCI also dropped the full IPL schedule yesterday. The league starts off on March 28. The defending champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, face the Sunrisers Hyderabad, getting the ball rolling.
This year, the group format has gotten a bit of a makeover; teams now go head-to-head with sides from the opposite group twice over. What that means is that the high-profile encounters occur more than once. Can’t complain about that.
The tournament spans across 70 league games, 12 venues, and is wrapped up by May 24. Where do the playoffs happen? Still up in the air. The final, though, is set for May 31.
And Dharamsala is back on the map. DC vs PBKS returns to the hill station on May 1, the very same fixture that was pulled last year when tensions with Pakistan spilled over into the cricket calendar. It’s good to see it back.
