Sunrisers Hyderabad are known to fill their team with power hitters and they did the same this time. Ishan Kishan came into the auction with a base price of Rs 2 crores. The auction started with MI and Punjab being in the catfight.
At Rs 5 crore MI pulled out and Delhi joined in to the race. Punjab was sure they wanted Ishan and pushed the bid to Rs 10 crore. Delhi pulled out and when everything was almost done, SRH came out of the box.
They landed a whopping bid of Rs 11.25 crores and added the left-handed opener to their team. Finally, the deal was closed and SRH had the Indian superstar into their ranks.
With two left-handers Head and Abhishek being retained, it will be key to see when Ishan Kishan plays for the side.
