KL Rahul entered the match against his former team with 468 runs to his name. He faced only 8 balls during the chase and contributed only 9 runs before losing his wicket. Despite that, these few runs were enough to push his season total to 477 runs from 12 matches. Consequently, he overtook Sunrisers Hyderabad’s Abhishek Sharma to claim the second position in the leaderboard.
Rahul maintains an average of 43.36 and a strike rate of 177.98. The highlight of his season is the spectacular unbeaten 152 runs, which is the highest individual score by an Indian in IPL history. This century, along with three half-centuries, has placed him second for the highest runs this IPL season.

The race for the Orange Cap remains incredibly tight as the league stage concludes. Heinrich Klaasen of Sunrisers Hyderabad continues to lead the pack with 494 runs. Rahul now trails him by only 17 runs. Meanwhile, Abhishek Sharma sits just two runs behind Rahul in third place with 475 runs.

KL Rahul became the first player ever to score 1,000 runs or more for three different IPL franchises. He previously scored more than 1000 for the Punjab Kings and the Lucknow Super Giants.
Rahul is also the quickest player to reach 1,000 runs for the Delhi Capitals, achieving the feat in just 24 innings. The record was previously set by Rishabh Pant and JP Duminy in 35 innings.
