Rajasthan Royals IPL 2026 Schedule: Full Fixtures, Dates & Venues

Rajasthan Royals IPL 2026 Schedule: Full Fixtures, Dates & Venues

The BCCI has released the complete IPL 2026 schedule, and Rajasthan Royals have a packed campaign ahead of them. Riyan Parag’s side will play 14 league matches across multiple venues, beginning their season on March 30 against Chennai Super Kings at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati.

With a mix of home and away fixtures spread across nearly two months, RR fans have plenty to look forward to this season.

A Season of Transition

This IPL 2026 campaign carries a certain significance for the Rajasthan Royals franchise. The season will be the last under the team’s current ownership, led by US-based entrepreneur Kal Somani. Over recent years, the franchise has made a conscious effort to deepen its roots in North-East India, which explains why a portion of their home fixtures have been scheduled at Guwahati’s Barsapara Stadium rather than exclusively at their traditional base in Jaipur.

Tensions with the Rajasthan Cricket Association have also played a role in this arrangement. Reports indicate that RR explored alternative venues, including locations in Navi Mumbai, before settling on the current split between Guwahati and Jaipur. As a result, fans in the North-East will get to watch three home matches live, while Jaipur will host the remaining four home games in the second phase.

The Squad

Riyan Parag leads a well-rounded squad that blends youth and experience. The team includes some exciting young talent in Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi, while experienced campaigners like Ravindra Jadeja and Shimron Hetmyer add crucial depth. The pace attack is headlined by Jofra Archer, supported by Nandre Burger, Tushar Deshpande, and Kwena Maphaka. Ravi Bishnoi leads the spin department, with Yudhvir Singh Charak and Vignesh Puthur providing additional variety.

One storyline that will attract attention early in the season is the return of Sanju Samson to Guwahati, now wearing the yellow of Chennai Super Kings. Samson captained Rajasthan Royals for several years and remains a popular figure among the fanbase, making the opening fixture on March 30 a particularly charged affair.

Phase One: Guwahati and Away

Rajasthan Royals open with three successive home games in Guwahati. After hosting CSK on March 30, they face the Mumbai Indians on April 7 and then the Royal Challengers Bengaluru on April 10. All three matches are scheduled for a 7:30 PM IST start.

In between, RR travel to Ahmedabad on April 4 to take on Gujarat Titans in what will be a tough away fixture. The match against RCB on April 10 is particularly interesting given the historical rivalry between the two sides, and it concludes RR’s Guwahati leg of the season.

The away run continues through mid-April. On April 13, RR head to Hyderabad to face Sunrisers Hyderabad in a 7:30 PM contest. Then, on April 19, they travel to Kolkata for a 3:30 PM fixture against Kolkata Knight Riders. A week later, on April 22, they face Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow at the usual evening time slot, before visiting New Chandigarh on April 28 to face Punjab Kings.

Phase Two: Back to Jaipur

From late April onward, the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur becomes the focal point. RR return home on May 1 to host Delhi Capitals in a 7:30 PM match. They then take on Gujarat Titans again on May 9 at Jaipur, in what could be a decisive fixture depending on where both sides stand in the points table by then.

May 19 sees another home game, this time against Lucknow Super Giants at Jaipur, before the league stage wraps up with an away fixture on May 24. RR travel to Mumbai to face Mumbai Indians in a 3:30 PM afternoon game, which could prove to be a high-stakes encounter if qualification spots are still up for grabs.

In between, there is also the away fixture on May 17, when RR visit Delhi to take on the Capitals.

What to Watch For

A few fixtures stand out beyond just the opener. The back-to-back meetings with Sunrisers Hyderabad, first away on April 13 and then at home on April 25, will test RR’s consistency and ability to adjust tactics between encounters with the same opponent. Similarly, the double-header against Gujarat Titans, played almost five weeks apart, adds an interesting strategic dimension to the season.

The congestion of fixtures in May, with matches on May 1, 9, 17, 19, and 24, means that player management and squad rotation will be critical in the final stretch. For a side with the bowling depth that Rajasthan Royals possess, that challenge is manageable. However, with the playoffs likely to be decided in this window, every match during this phase will carry added pressure.

Rajasthan Royals go into IPL 2026 as a competitive outfit with clear leadership in Riyan Parag and the talent to challenge any side on their day. The schedule gives them a reasonable early run with three home games in Guwahati before the real test of their away form kicks in. How they navigate that stretch through April will likely determine whether they are playing for pride or for trophies come late May.
