Exam Form Filled, but Vaibhav Will Not Appear
According to Adarsh Kumar Pintu, the director of Modesty School, Suryavanshi was all set to appear at his designated examination centre, Poddar International School, on 17 February, 2026.
However, Suryavanshi’s father, Sanjeev Suryavanshi, announced that Vaibhav’s entire focus is on cricket as of now; he is busy training and will appear for the board exam next year.
Vaibhav’s coach, Manish Ojha, has confirmed that Suryavanshi will not be appearing for his exams this year so that he can prepare for IPL.
Ojha stated, “He won’t be giving the Class X exams. He is currently in Nagpur preparing for the upcoming IPL. He has already joined Rajasthan Royals for a pre-season camp”.
Why Cricket Took Priority
The choice to forgo the board exams comes after a gruelling 2025-2026 season that saw Tajpur native jet-setting around the world for international tours with the India Under-19 and India A teams. With this, the young cricketer was left with very little time to allocate to classroom preparation. Sooryavanshi was originally supposed to sit for his exams between February 17 and March 11, but his schedule made it impossible.
Vaibhav is currently taking part in the training camp of the Rajasthan Royals, which will go on till 21st February. He may also choose to stay back afterwards.
