Right after the completion of the IPL 2025, Sri Lanka will host Bangladesh for a full-format series.
According to the cricket board’s news, it will be a bilateral series involving two Asian cricketing giants. Bangladesh has been playing good cricket recently, so expect some fierce competition.

Red Ball Series
The series will start with test matches, with the first test being played on 17 June in Galle. Galle will be busy in the summer, from June to July.
As both teams have high-quality spin bowlers, expect the batters from both sides to have a tough time. The second test will be played on 25th June at SSC. Historically, SSC has been a run-scoring ground, and there is some help even for pacers.

White Ball Series
Sri Lanka will host Bangladesh in the all-format series, and the two sides will play three ODI matches and three T20I matches.
The two ODIS will be played on July 2nd and 5th at Colombo, while the third ODI will be played on July 8th at Pallekele.
According to the schedule provided by the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, the T20IS will start on 10 July, while the second and third T20IS will be played at Dambulla and Premadasa, respectively.
ODI games will be day-night affairs, while the T20 matches will all be night games. The ball is expected to swing slightly in the first couple of overs, so pacers will also have a say in the white-ball series.
Last Encounter of Sri Lanka and Bangladesh
Both Lanka and Bangladesh play quite a lot against each other. Following the impressive performance of Bangladesh recently, expect a brilliant fightback against Sri Lanka.
The two sides last met in April 2021, when they played two test matches. Sri Lanka won the first test, while the second test ended in a draw.
The first win was comprehensive, and Sri Lanka ultimately won the series. Expect something different this time around.
Likewise, the ODI series between the two sides took place almost five years ago in July 2019, during which they lost all the ODI games and suffered a humiliating defeat.
Things changed in the T20I series when Bangladesh won some of the games. Sri Lanka comes into the series with some IPL exposure that could be handy.
