What This Means for the IPL 2026 Points Table

This victory places Royal Challengers Bengaluru firmly at the top of the IPL points table with 18 points. They are the only team to officially qualify for the playoffs so far. Punjab Kings are on 13 points with only one game remaining to play.
Punjab Kings began the season with a perfect note winning six games in a row. But now they are on a six match losing streak which is a historic collapse in the IPL. Now to qualify they need to beat the Lucknow Super Giants in their final match and hope for other results to go in their favour. They will have to depend on their net run rate if they are tied with other teams for qualification.
