Sri Lanka will travel to the West Indies in June and July 2026 for a full bilateral series. The tour includes three ODIs, three T20Is, and two Test matches, making it a busy stretch for both sides heading into an important phase of international cricket.
The series gets underway on June 3 with the first of three One Day Internationals at Sabina Park in Kingston, Jamaica. The T20 leg follows from June 11, also at the same venue. After the white-ball games wrap up, the action moves to Antigua, where the two Tests will be played from June 25 onwards. A four-day warm-up match will be scheduled before the Test series begins.

Tests will be part of the ICC World Test Championship 2025-27 cycle, which means that this is a battle of points between the two teams in the two matches.
What Is at Stake in the Test Series
Sri Lanka currently sit fifth in the ICC World Test Championship standings. They have played only two matches in the current cycle, which means this tour gives them a real chance to move up early. Picking up wins in Antigua could significantly improve their position in the table.
The West Indies are in a harder spot. They have played eight matches in the current WTC cycle without a single win. A home series against Sri Lanka presents them with a realistic opportunity to finally get points on the board and show some improvement in Test cricket. Both sides will be under pressure, but for different reasons.
The last time these two teams met in a bilateral series was in October 2024, when Sri Lanka hosted the West Indies. Sri Lanka won across all formats on that occasion. Before that, their most recent white-ball contest was a two-match series in Galle in 2021, which Sri Lanka also won.

White-Ball Games Matter Too
Beyond the Tests, the six white-ball matches carry weight of their own. The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup is scheduled for 2027, and teams are already building squads and combinations with that tournament in mind. This tour gives both Sri Lanka and the West Indies a chance to test their ODI setups in competitive conditions.
Both teams were in action at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 before this tour. Sri Lanka were one of the co-hosts and did well in the group stage but could not carry that form into the Super Six stage. West Indies were more consistent through the tournament but exited after losing a key match to India in Kolkata.
The white-ball games in Kingston will give both squads a chance to reset, find some form, and trial players ahead of future tournaments.
Sri Lanka will be looking to continue their recent dominance over the West Indies, while the hosts will be hoping home conditions can help them finally turn things around in 2026.
