According to the latest announcement by the ICC, the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 will take place from September 30 to November 2, featuring eight participating teams.

This will be one of the first times that the joint hosts will be organizing the biggest women’s cricket event, where India and Sri Lanka will be serving a host role after Pakistan’s qualification into the tournament. Previously, it was decided that the matches would only be played at five different Indian venues. But Pakistan’s qualification totally changed the dynamics of the tournament, allowing them to play at the neutral venue, which is in Sri Lanka.
DY Patil Stadium, Assam Cricket Association Stadium, ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium, and Holkar Stadium will be serving as the host grounds in India, while R. Premadasa Stadium will host the matches for Pakistan and other nations, respectively.
Similarly, the tournament will be played among the eight participating teams, where each team will play under a round-robin format. As per the format, the top four teams in the points table will march ahead in the knockout stage, which is scheduled for October 29 to October 30.
Following the semi-final matches, the final will be played on November 2, 2025, where the venue will be either Navi Mumbai or Colombo, depending on Pakistan’s qualification in the tournament.
