Yashbardhan Chauhan scored 122 and picked up two wickets as India Under-19 beat Australia Under-19 by 102 runs in the second Youth ODI in Rajkot. The result gave India an unassailable 2-0 lead in the five-match series.
Chauhan and Vineeth Lead India to 341 for 7
India Under-19 chose to bat first at Niranjan Shah Stadium and posted 341 for 7 in their 50 overs. Aaryavir Sehwag gave the innings a fast start as he made 47 off 48 balls before he was run out. Chauhan then combined with VK Vineeth for a 132-run stand for the third wicket. Chauhan reached his century off 100 balls; he hit 15 fours and two sixes, and fell in the 49th over to a catch off Thomas Vaseo. Vineeth made 87 off 92 balls, with four fours and six sixes, before he was caught off Connor Gregory. Kushagra Ojha added a rapid 34 off 20 balls down the order, and India added 106 runs in the last ten overs to push their total past 340. Thomas Vaseo was the most successful Australian bowler as he finished with figures of 3 for 78 from his ten overs.
Czosnek’s 81 Keeps Australia in the Chase
Australia Under-19 lost openers Neel Patel and Hayden Barbulovic cheaply as they slipped to 29 for 2 inside five overs. Matthew Lough and Jack Czosnek steadied the innings with a stand that took the score past 70 before Lough fell for 42 off 40 balls.
Czosnek carried on with support from Blake Cattle, and the pair added 99 runs for the fourth wicket. Czosnek made 81 off 63 balls, with seven fours and four sixes, before he was caught off Kavya Paresh Patel in the 27th over. His dismissal triggered a slide, and Australia never recovered the required rate from that point.

Cattle added 44 off 46 balls after Czosnek’s exit, but wickets kept falling at the other end. Chigurupati Venkata finished with 3 for 64, and Chauhan backed up his century with 2 for 56, which gave India control through the middle overs.
Kavya Paresh Patel bowled the tightest spell of the innings, taking 2 for 23 from seven overs. Australia lost their last six wickets for just 38 runs and were bowled out for 239 in 41.1 overs, handing India the 102-run win. Chauhan was named Player of the Match for his century and his contribution with the ball.
The win takes India’s lead to 2-0 with three matches left in the series. Chauhan now has two fifty-plus scores in as many innings on this tour, and his form with both bat and ball has been central to India’s results so far. The third Youth ODI will decide whether Australia can avoid a series sweep or whether India can close it out early.
