India batter Yastika Bhatia scored her maiden half-century as Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) defeated Jamaica Empress by nine wickets at Kensington Oval in Bridgetown on 10 September 2026. Spinner Karishma Ramharack claimed 3/11 to restrict Jamaica Empress to 100 runs in their 20 overs.
Bhatia then smashed an unbeaten 57 off 34 balls to power TKR past the 101-run target with 53 balls to spare. This dominant victory gave TKR their second consecutive win to maintain their unbeaten record in the Womenโs Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) 2026.
Dominant Run Chase Led by Bhatia
TKR began their run chase with speed and authority. India wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia opened the batting alongside Laura Harris. The opening pair attacked early and accumulated 35 runs for the first wicket in five overs. Spinner Nonkululeko Mlaba stumped Harris for 22 runs off 18 balls with a sharply turning delivery at 35/1. Harris became the only TKR batter to fall in the entire match.
TKR captain Deandra Dottin joined Bhatia at the crease following the dismissal. Dottin smashed an unbeaten 22 runs off 15 deliveries to maintain a rapid scoring pace. Bhatia reached her maiden WCPL half-century in just her second appearance in the league. She struck at a rate of 167.64 during her 34-ball innings. Bhatia and Dottin put together an unbroken 69-run partnership for the second wicket to seal the win. TKR crossed the winning target with 8.5 overs remaining, finishing the match in 11.1 overs.

Ramharack Leads Masterful Bowling Display
West Indies spinner Karishma Ramharack led the TKR bowling attack with great control. Ramharack took three wickets for 11 runs in four overs. She bowled an economical spell and was the player of the match. The other TKR bowlers kept tight control from both ends, not allowing Empress to build up momentum.

Empress Batting Collapsed
Rashada Williams played patiently for Jamaica Empress and scored 40 runs from 47 balls to rebuild the innings. However, she found little support from her fellow batters.
Chinelle Henry, who starred in the Empress victory during their debut match, provided lower-order runs. Henry remained unbeaten on 22 runs to lift the final total. Jamaica Empress finished their 20 overs on 100 runs. The modest target proved far too small against the powerful TKR batting order.

Bhatia Sets Early Pace in Run-Scoring Charts
Yastika Bhatia made an immediate impact in her debut WCPL season. Across her first two matches, Bhatia has scored 92 runs while remaining unbeaten in both victories. She currently holds a batting average of 92.00 and a tournament strike rate of 148.38.
Her unbeaten score of 57 stands as her highest score in the competition so far. Bhatia leads all batters in total runs scored in WCPL 2026. Her quick scoring at the top of the order has given TKR decisive victories in both of their matches.
TKR Stand Alone at Top of WCPL Table
This victory keeps Trinbago Knight Riders atop the WCPL standings. TKR now hold four points from their opening two matches. They remain the only unbeaten team in the entire tournament. Jamaica Empress suffered their first loss after winning their opening match.
