Several reports published online have suggested that the Italian captainβs agent, Raiola, is in close talks with Manchester City for the transfer, yet official confirmation from both parties has not been made.
Donnarummaβs entry to City will likely be done in place of their current goalkeeper, Ederson, as rumors have been speculated on his departure from the club.
However, City might face a challenge in the inclusion of Donnarumma in their squad, as they have recently signed James Trafford from Burnley for a record fee. The newly signed goalkeeper is expected to be the first choice for City, but they both could share the roles between them.

[REPORT] Donnarummaβs Preferences
The Italian goalkeeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, has clearly stated that if he is not in the preference of PSG, then it would be better for him and the club to have an early exit and sign for other top clubs.
The 26-year-old captain reportedly has one year left on his contract, but the disrespect he experienced recently from PSGβs coach, Luis Enrique, has led him to come to the decision to leave the club as soon as possible.
Similarly, Gianluigi Donnarummaβs agent, Enzo Raiola, also addressed this matter and bluntly said, βWeβve heard the rumors of Pep Guardiolaβs interest. The truth is, weβve never spoken to Guardiola, because until recently we were thinking of staying in Paris this year too.β
Similarly, Donnarumma also took to X and posted the final statement for his well-wishers and Paris fans. He posted, βTo the special Paris fans, From the first day I arrived, I gave everythingβon and off the pitchβto earn my place and defend the goal of Paris Saint-Germainβ¦β¦β

Along with Manchester City, Manchester United, and Chelsea was also interested in signing the 26-year-old goalkeeper, but these talks have recently gone quiet as PSG is asking for around β¬50m (Β£43.1m), and Transfermarkt values the 26-year-old at β¬40m.
However, the signing from City could be a crucial one for the club, as the goalkeeperβs quality will certainly help them to stand on the hopes of winning the Premier League this season.
Amit Mishraβs Take
As a football enthusiast, it is disappointing to see how PSG has recently been treating the Italian goalkeeper. Despite displaying top-notch performance time and again, Gianluigi Donnarumma is not being given deserved respect and love. As a result, his decision to leave the club and stay loyal to the new one seems to be legitimate.
Being a world-class goalkeeper, the opportunity comes from every corner. Manchester Cityβs interest in him will definitely boost his confidence for the upcoming matches.
