FIFA banned the Congolese Football Association (FECOFOOT) due to third-party interference in its operation.
FIFA called the situation “serious” because it violated its rules. The ban came after two FIFA/CAF visits to Brazzaville, where it was found that FECOFOOT wasn’t fully in control of its own affairs.
