On Monday, Barcelona’s pre-season 2025 successfully finished in the most dominating way possible. The Spanish club defeated Daegu FC by 5-0 to wrap their tour in Daegu, South Korea. They scored quick 3 goals in the first half, followed by another two goals in the second half, where Gavi scored two goals in 21 and 45+2 minutes, respectively.

[REPORT] First Half: Early Domination
On August 4, in Daegu Stadium, the final friendly match between Barcelona and Daegu ended in a dominant way as the Spanish club ended their preseason tour to Asia with a victory of 5-0.
In the very first half of Barcelona and Daegu, the club started with their regular players mixed with young talents. They were looking for a goal from the moment the whistle was blown, and as a result, Gavi scored an early goal for Barcelona in the 21st minute, taking a lead of 1-0.
Soon after the first goal, the veteran player, Lewandowski, scored another goal for the team in the 27th minute, giving Barca an extra lead of 2-0. However, Barcelona was not looking to stop anytime soon, as Gavi again scored another goal in the extra time of the first half with an incredible chip over the goalkeeper.
At the end of the first half, Barcelona was up by 3-0 and was looking to score more if they were not deprived of time.
Second Half: Sealing the Victory
Coming into the second half of the game, Barcelona’s confidence was already boosted following the 3-0 lead in the first half. Meanwhile, the coach, Hansi Flick, made a few changes in the squad, substituting players with youngsters and new players. Pedri was handed a captaincy role, while Marcus Rashford got to play as a striker for the very first time.
The second half, as compared, was different as Barcelona kept pressuring Daegu and scored goals, extending the lead. Barcelona led the match by 4-0 in the 54th minute when Fernández scored a stunning goal through the assist from Dani Olmo, marking his first goal of the tour.
Similarly, the fifth and final goal for Barcelona was scored by the newly signed Rashford in the 65th minute, sealing the match with a 5-0 goal.

What’s Next for Barcelona?
With the successful conclusion of Barcelona’s pre-season 2025 in Asia, they are looking for a bigger picture in the future, as the team is all set to clash in the Joan Gamper Trophy scheduled on August 10, 2025.
Similarly, Rashford’s commitment to the team has made the team management happy with the decision they took during the transfer window.
In addition, Joan Gamper Trophy, Barcelona is all set to compete in the much-awaited La Liga 2025/26.
They will be playing their very first match on August 16, 2025, while the last match is rumored to be on 22-24 May, 2026. Meanwhile, the team will be returning to the historic stadium, Camp Nou, on August 10, 2025.

With a 5-0 victory in the Barcelona and Daegu match in their final preseason match, it is crystal clear that the team looks very strong and committed to winning the upcoming La Liga season.
