When things go bad it goes to worse, and Manchester United has felt the wrath of it. Manchester United challenges aren’t limited to the football field but much more than that.
Under the guidance of Amorim, the club has struggled big times. A very crucial fixture for Manchester United comes through when they play against the future teams.
Manchester United Struggles Continue Under Amorim
Since Ruben Amorim has taken charge of Manchester United things haven’t been good at all. Fair to say Manchester United challenges just keep on adding every other game.
Due to the poor results in the competition, the players are afraid to perform well on the ground. Not only that Amorim took charge since November and the team has lost 5 of their last 6 games.
Until this news was written Manchester United stayed at number 13 in the table and the player seemed terrified when the opportunity came to play on the ground.

Improved Performance at Anfield
As a lot of the fans expected that Manchester United would again perform poorly in Anfield everybody got a surprise. Yes, Manchester United played way better in the game than they have played all season.
With the table-top placed team Liverpool, Manchester United looked like a complete and performing side. They scored 2 goals and went on to earn a draw which is good for the mental side of things.
Martinez Shines for Manchester United
As Manchester United fans weren’t sure what to expect from the Red Devils, they came firing on all cylinders and made an impact. It was a complete team performance, and the quality was excellent.
Lisandro Martinez and Amad Diallo scored two goals. Many pundits predicted a massive loss for Manchester United, but the coach turned the tables with tactical brilliance.
As the game was driving along in the 52nd minute, Lisandro Martinez scored an unexpected goal to keep Man U ahead in the race. The Argentinian superstar smashed the crossbar and went on to put the ball behind the net.
Salah Breaks Premier League Records
Mohammad Salah is one of the critical players in Liverpool’s ranks. He has been a consistent performer with regular goals to his name. Even in the crucial match against Manchester United, it was Salah who brought the team back into contention.
Mohammad Salah took it with grace in the 70th minute when Manchester was allowed the penalty. Onana, the keeper, guessed correctly, but the ball had too much power to smash the bottom right corner.
During his goal-scoring, Salah made the record of hitting 13 goals against Manchester United. Not only that Mo also scored 175 goals, which is equal to Theirry Henry’s goal tally. Such a superstar.
Rashford Dropped from Squad
Just when the draw against Liverpool came through, Manchester United fans weren’t well to feel relief. Their star player Marcus Rashford missed the game against Liverpool, much to the reason.
He was sick and was dropped from the game. Not only the sickness but Rashford is all set to leave Manchester United in the next transfer window.
This suggests Man U isn’t much interested in playing the star player. It will be important to see who Manchester United banks on.
Diallo Cancels Salah’s Goal
Manchester United’s challenges would have been doubled had Salah gone from strength to strength. But Diallo had other ideas.
Playing well the whole night, Diallo went on to form the strong core and denied Salah any more goals in the game. Finally, the Red Devils settled down with a draw.
Maguire’s Miss Costs United the Win
Things were going the perfect way when Harry Maguire went on to miss an easy goal in the final seconds of the game.
It was at the very last moment of the game that Maguire failed to score and ended the game on a draw. Zirkzee played a brilliant square for Maguire, who had an open run in the box with acres of space.
In the final seconds of a good finish, Harry decides not to take the touch but scoop the ball into the net. Sadly, the ball scooped over the crossbar, and the chance of a win for Manchester United went begging.
Legends Praise Both Teams’ Efforts
Whatever the results might have been, it was a good game for both teams. Man United legend Gary Neville was visibly disappointed with the miss by Maguire. He further claimed that Maguire needs to work more to get control of the ball.
Another United legend, Roy Keane, stated that it would have been amazing if Man United had won the game, but the Red Devils did show a lot of fight and spirit. It was what I asked from them at the start of the game, adds Keane.
United Prepares for FA Cup Clash with Arsenal
As Manchester United completed a morale-boosting draw against Liverpool, they will face a third-round clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Even though the game is big, the injuries are bigger for Man United. Players like Rashford, Mason Mount, and Luke Shaw need to be fully fit and get back to the playing arena.
