Young Indian boxers made the nation proud at the 3rd Belt and Road International Youth Boxing Gala in Xinjiang, China. Fourteen juniors–ten girls and four boys–made their way into the finals, showcasing their boxing talent across various weight categories.

A total of 59 members, including 20 boys, and 20 girls supported by 12 coaches, six support staff and one referee and judge, marched to China to represent India at the 3rd “Belt and Road” International Youth Boxing Gala – U17/U19/U23 International Training Camp & Tournament, in Xinjiang, China, scheduled for 12th to 30th August 2025.
The team was selected from the 6th U-17 Junior Boys & Girls National Boxing Championships 2025, with medalists across Asian Youth Games and Non-Asian Youth Games weight categories earning a place, according to a press release from BFI.

Notable Boys in Finals/Semifinals:
Dhruv Kharb (46kg), Falak (48kg), Piyush (50kg) and Udham Singh Raghav (54kg) progressed to the final.
Falak and Udham Singh Raghav won gold medals with commanding wins over their Kazakh opponents.
Similarly, Dhruv Kharb and Piyush settled for silver. Further, Uday Singhm Aditya, Ashish, Devendra Chaudhary, Jaideep Singh Hanjra, and Loven Gulia earned bronze medals.

Notable Players in Finals/Semifinals:
The Indian junior girls delivered an outstanding performance, winning 5 gold medals by Laxmi (46kg), Radhamani (60kg), Harnoor (66kg), Jyoti, and Anshika, opponents mainly from China and Korea.
Chandrika and the other four lost the final to a Chinese opponent and secured silver. Moreover, girls secured 6 bronze medals from the tournaments.
