Over a decade, Esports saw incredible milestones and standout figures. This year, the Esports Awards Decade Celebration recognized the players, streamers, and achievements that left a lasting mark on the esports world.
Esports Awards of the Decade – Faker, ZywOo & xQc Crowned
The award ceremony, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, was part of the Esports World Cup 2025 and celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Esports Awards during the “Summer of Celebration.”
Not only that, but the event also highlighted the players, teams, and games that left a lasting mark on the industry with over 9.8 million fan votes in numerous categories.
The celebration brought together some of the biggest names in gaming to honor ten years of achievements from 2015 to 2025.

As I was researching the history of esports, I was surprised to learn it goes all the way back to the 1960s. Isn’t it fascinating? The very first tournament, called the Intergalactic Spacewar Olympics, took place at Stanford University’s Artificial Intelligence Lab.
What’s more astounding is that players actually competed in Spacewar!, a multiplayer space combat game from the early 1960s. The winner was then awarded a one-year subscription to Rolling Stone magazine.
Coming to 2025, Esports has witnessed vast change, but the thrill remains the same.
