Harris English’s Victory
Harris English managed to stay ahead of a strong challenge from Sam Stevens to win the Farmers Insurance Open 2025 by one stroke on Saturday. This victory marks his fifth win on the PGA Tour, achieved with a 1-over 73 in tough weather conditions at Torrey Pines Golf Course.

Comeback from Injury
Harris English pulled off an astonishing comeback from a hip injury in 2022 by winning the Torrey Pines-based Farmers Insurance Open 2025.
He underwent surgery after the injury back in 2022, and it proved to be a major deterrent in his career. Despite that, he won the Farmers Open and picked up his first PGA Tour victory in more than 3 years.
This would suggest that he has regained his skills and is about to have a great season. He confronted the toughest conditions and won because he had the proper strategy and, more importantly, a refined putting method. CBS reporter Amanda Balionis saluted the persistence to make his way into success.
Looking ahead, this win has given English a boost for his career and great motivation for the next major season.
After the win, he is geared to participate in other tournaments, including the reputed AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. He hopes to carry forward the momentum of this win to other future tournaments.
