Kapil Dev is making headlines again, not for cricket but for golf. Cricket legend and golfer Kapil Dev will be playing in the Chhattisgarh Golf Open 2025, one of India’s very first Professional Golf Tour in India (PGTI).
It is followed by 10 other events, including Kapil Dev-Grant Thornton Invitational.
Chhattisgarh Golf Open 2025 will be held between Feb 21 and Feb 24, 2025, in Fairway Golf and Lake Resort, one of Raipur’s best golf courses. With 126 professional golfers participating, some action is guaranteed in the event.
The 2025 season commenced on Feb 11, in Tollygunge Club in Kolkata, then moving on to Ahmedabad and finally Raipur for the third event. Additionally, Ahmedabad will also host it in the first week of March.
There will be four new events added for the 2025 season:
- Chhattisgarh Open Golf Championship, Feb 25 – 28: 1 crore prize
- PGTI Invitational, April 1- 4: 1.5 crore prize
- Indorama Open Golf Championship, April 9 – 12: 2 crore prize
- The Calance Open, April 15 – 18: 1 crore prize
Apart from that, a prize of 1 cr also makes the event super competitive. Fans can watch this golfing event from home as well, in DD Sports and Waves OTT. This broadcasting will put India’s golfing scenario in the global eye.
