TGL Playoff Schedule and Key Matchups
The TGL playoffs will be held on March 17 and 18, with the first TGL Championship scheduled for March 24 and 25. As the postseason nears, three teams—Bay Golf Club, Los Angeles Golf Club, and Atlanta Drive GC—have already reached the semifinals, while one spot is still open. Before the playoffs start, TGL will host three critical matches to finalize the postseason teams.
- Monday, March 3: Los Angeles Golf Club vs. Bay Golf Club – Both teams have secured their spots in the semifinals, so this match will be about improving or holding their rankings.
- Monday, March 3: Boston Common Golf vs. New York Golf Club – This match is crucial, especially for New York Golf Club. They, alongside Tiger Woods’ Jupiter Links Golf Club, are battling for the last playoff position. Boston, with only a point, is less likely to qualify for the semifinals.
- Tuesday, March 4: Jupiter Links Golf Club vs. Atlanta Drive GC—Atlanta has already secured a spot in the playoffs and will treat this game as practice. Jupiter Links, however, considers this match essential to competing with New York for the last semifinal spot. Atlanta has strengthened its side by including Nick Dunlap for this game.
Teams Fighting for the Final Playoff Spot
As the TGL regular season wraps up, the race for the last playoff spot is heating up between Jupiter Links Golf Club and New York Golf Club. Both sides have the same record of one win and two losses, which translates to two points each. However, New York Golf Club has a slight edge, having won 15 holes as opposed to the 6 won by Jupiter Links.
Jupiter Links Golf Club needs to win its next game against Atlanta Drive GC on March 4 to make the playoffs. It also needs the New York Golf Club to lose its last match. Another way to qualify is to lose in overtime, as long as New York loses, too, and the tiebreakers work in their favor.
The results of these critical matches will help determine which team will make the playoffs. This means tension is around the corner at the end of the regular season. Fans who are thrilled to see the action unfold can register for early access and purchase TGL playoff tickets.
