Haryana Steelers won Pro Kabaddi League 11, but they didn’t stop right there. The whole team has been active in recruiting new faces to the side. Haryana Steelers’ open trials are a positive step towards ensuring fairness in the selection process.
In order to grow the Kabaddi ecosystem of Haryana and also find new talent, Steelers have launched the open trial system. This will provide a fair chance to find some raw talents in Kabaddi.
When Will The Open Trials Take Place?
The actual trials will take place on 8th February 2025 at 8.30 am IST.
All of the open trials will be conducted at Multipurpose Hall at Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. Interested people who want to show their talent are motivated to be present at the location.
This initiative of open trials from the Haryana Steelers will foster Harayan’s sports ecosystem whilst building a competitive team for PKL season.
“This open trial is an invitation to all aspiring players to be a part of the academy and the new Young Players Programme of the PKL Season 11 Champions,” said Divyanshu Singh, COO of JSW Sports, excited for the trials.

Haryana Steelers Coach View
Manpreet Singh is the coach of the Haryana Steelers, who won the title. It was Manpreet’s initiative to get the open trials loading as well. Talking to the media, he shared all of the excitement.
In his words, they are looking forward to meeting the young and promising talents of the country and providing an opportunity for them to train with the best.
Not only that, the coach wants to build a team that sets new records in Kabaddi and also unearths some of the country’s young talents.
Positive Outcome of Open Trials
Haryana Steelers’ open trials might be the first of its kind when we talk about Kabaddi.
Usually these types of selection normally happens behind closed doors, with this initiative fans can experience how actual players are selected. These open trials will also be the stepping stone for all the aspiring players who want to play professional Kabaddi.
The open trials system shows the commitment of the Haryana Steelers not only to the players but also to Haryana, which seems to be more focused on the growth of Kabaddi in the region rather than only winning the Pro Kabaddi League 11 title.
Views of COO Divyanshu Singh
Divyanshu Singh, the COO of JWS Sports, seemed to be very excited when the news of open trails came out. Singh has been actively involved in the growth of Kabaddi and the development of Haryana Steelers.
He further exclaimed that the selection process in the trials is a part of our academy program. Singh also states that the system in Haryana Steelers is democratic and fair for everyone who loves Kabaddi.
Lastly, Divyanshu added that Haryana wants to create a platform for all of the budding talents in the field of Kabaddi and create a robust Kabaddi ecosystem, ultimately, building community spirit in Kabaddi.
