One of the finest fighters of UFC, B.J. Penn has been facing a restraining order from the court. He will have to vacate his home in Hilo, where he lives with his mother, Lorraine P Shin. The major reason for the restraining order from the mother is because she believes her son suffers from a rare psychological disorder known as Capgras Syndrome.
[Update] What’s Happening In The Case?
According to Sports Yahoo, the latest news on the case is that Judge Jeffrey NG has approved the temporary restraining order, which will remain active for 6 months.
Penn, the famous UFC fighter, was scheduled to appear in family court on 10th June for a hearing on the charges of abuse of a family or household member.
What’s saddening is that Penn has to remain at least 100 feet away from his mother, 100 yards away from her residence and work and also not be in contact with her. Failure to follow all of these will result in jail time, too.

The mother of the UFC fighter, Lorraine Shin, has clarified that her son is suffering from Capgras delusional syndrome, which is a psychiatric disorder. This particular disorder states that a person assumes a friend, spouse, or parent has been replaced by an identical impostor.
Shin also clarified that Penn thinks that she is an impostor who has killed his real family to gain control of the family assets.

[What’s Happened] Series Of Events Leading To Restraining Order
Readers might be thinking that B.J. Penn faced a restraining order, and it was harsh on him. Well, a series of events has led to this situation.
Shin’s mother remembers times when she came back from the trip; her clothes, shoes, jewellery, and even the bed had been removed from her room.
Similarly, she later also lost her driver’s license, credit cards, and the locks to the safe. What’s more problematic is that Penn even tempered with the cameras and glued the door bolts to keep her away.

Everybody seemed to be interested in knowing. Fans were interested to know what was happening and why so many police officers were there to arrest Penn. Fair to say the confusion is taking center stage.
[Reports] Penn won’t fight again
One of the greatest UFC fighters during his prime, Penn, won’t be fighting again, which is quite an issue. His last fight came in May 2019, where he suffered his 7th straight loss.
Penn had at least 1 fight left in him, but his brawl with the local outside a Hawaii bar did kill that chance as well. Dana White in 2019 confirmed that Penn won’t be fighting again due to his public violence.
Pankaj Kapoor’s Take
BJ Penn faces a restraining order, which is surprising. Being one of the finest UFC fighters and a champion, Penn has lost his way big time. Pure talent seems to be going to waste.
With the impostor syndrome being suggested to the former player, one might think the career is all but over. His mother, Shin, however, seems to be troubled the most and has taken legal help. Penn’s future seems tough, as the restraining order seems a strict one.
