Dani Busboom Kelly Signs With Nebraska
Dani Busboom Kelly became Nebraska volleyball‘s fourth head coach on January 29, 2025, after eight successful years at Louisville. During her time there, she led the team to a 203-44 record, NCAA Championship matches, and ACC titles. Taking over from her former coach, John Cook, who retired after 25 seasons, Busboom Kelly signed a six-year contract with Nebraska.
In early 2025, she joined Nebraska as a full-time coach and also signed a 6-year contract. The total sum for the contract is $4.575 million.
Similarly, Danni Busboom Kelly’s base salary will be $700k in the first year. Similarly, there will be an annual increase of $25k from the second month.
Besides being part of the team, she will also receive a performance bonus of $50,000 and a prize of $ 100,000 if Busboom is selected as the AVCA National Coach Of The Year.

Kenna Cogill is the first player signed by Dani Busboom Kelly as Nebraska’s new volleyball head coach. Cogill is a 6-foot-4 middle blocker from Gilbert, Arizona. She was ranked among the top 30 recruits in the country for the 2025 class.
Cogill first signed with Oregon but changed her commitment to Nebraska after a coaching change there. She officially joined the Huskers in February 2025 as part of a seven-player recruiting class.
In her senior year of high school, Cogill averaged 2.5 kills per set with a .443 hitting percentage and 1.3 blocks per set. Her career hitting percentage was .449. She brings size and strong stats to the team and is expected to play right away.
