ICC has named three players on the shortlist for Women’s Player of the Month for June 2026. All three came through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, which wrapped up earlier this month. Scotland captain Kathryn Bryce, India spinner Sree Charani and England opener Danni Wyatt-Hodge make up the list. Voting is open now on the ICC Website
Bryce’s All-Round Month
Bryce did most of her work with the bat and ball across seven T20Is in June. She scored 178 runs, averaging 25.42 at a strike rate of 140.15. With the ball, she took 11 wickets at 15.81, keeping her economy down to 7.10.
Before the World Cup even started, Bryce was already delivering. Scotland beat Bangladesh and the Netherlands in a home tri-series, and she was a big reason why. Then came the tournament opener against Ireland; Bryce hit 60, and Scotland pulled off a result nobody expected. She kept picking up wickets through the rest of the group stage too, not just runs.
Charani Finishes as Top Wicket-Taker
No bowler in the women’s tournament took more wickets than Charani. Fourteen scalps in six matches, at an average of just 11.00. Her economy rate sat at 6.69 — tight numbers for a spinner operating in T20 cricket.
She saved some of her best work for the bigger games. Against Pakistan, she returned 3 for 21. Against the Netherlands, it was 4 for 19. Then 3 for 24 came against South Africa. In every single one of India’s five group matches, she picked up at least two wickets. It wasn’t enough as India’s campaign ended in the group stage regardless, but Charani’s own numbers held up throughout.
Wyatt-Hodge Breaks New Ground
Runs came easily for Wyatt-Hodge in June. She piled up 287 of them in six innings, at an average of 71.75 and a strike rate above 150. No other batter in the tournament scored as much.

It started with an unbeaten 105 against Sri Lanka in England’s first match — an innings that pushed her side to 219, matching the highest total of the tournament. She wasn’t done. A 65 followed against the West Indies.
Then, against New Zealand, the defending champions, she made an unbeaten 89 that sent them out of the competition. By the time the tournament ended, her tally stood at 302 runs. No woman had ever crossed 300 runs in a single edition of the event before.

Voting Now Open for June Award
Bryce, Charani and Wyatt-Hodge each shaped the tournament in their own way, one with bat and ball combined, one through consistent wicket-taking, and one by rewriting the run-scoring record books.
ICC has opened voting for the June award, and fans can cast their choice through the organisation’s official channels now.
