[TRENDING] Asia Cup 2025 Overview
The schedule of the 17th edition of the Asia Cup was announced on Saturday, and the eight teams are prepared to set the pitch on fire with nail-biting performances. As per the announcement made by the chief of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC), Moshin Naqiv, on July 26, Asia Cup 2025 will take place from September 19 to September 28. The announcement was made following the ACC meeting in Dhaka, which was attended by the 25 member nations.

Naqiv said, “I am delighted to confirm the dates of the ACC Men’s Asia Cup 2025 in UAE. The prestigious tournament will take place from September 9th to 28th. We look forward to a spectacular display of cricket. Details scheduled will be out soon.”
Meanwhile, the concern of the cricket fans regarding the match between India and Pakistan was also clearly addressed, announcing that the group stage match between the arch-rivals will be played on September 14.
Considering the escalating tension between these countries in the past months, the India vs Pakistan match was likely called off. But despite the struggles and hurdles, BCCI, ACC, ICC, and PCB collaboratively took the decision to hold the cricket match at a neutral venue, the UAE.
Although BCCI holds the hosting rights for the Asia Cup 2025, all the matches will be hosted across two venues, Abu Dhabi and Dubai, due to the ongoing cross-border tension involving India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh.

Amit Mishra’s Take
For a cricket fan like me, the announcement of fixtures for the Asia Cup 2025 has increased the excitement since the matches are certain to be bangers following the addition of new nations in the league. Similarly, the concern for India vs Pakistan, which was earlier announced to be called off, is also addressed with both teams playing in a neutral venue on September 14.
I cannot wait for the tournament to begin, and I am especially looking forward to the match between nations like the UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong China. It is certain that the matches will be competitive as all the teams will be aiming for the undisputed title on September 28.
