In the same season, Harry Kane sat at the 2nd number with 30 goals to his name. To say the least, 2022-2023 was a goal-fest season for the Premier League. Erling Haaland went on to break the record of Alan Shearer and Andy Cole.

Andy Cole played for Newcastle United and scored 34 goals in the 1993-1994 season. In the following season, Alan Shearer leveled the record. Also called Smokey by fans, Shearer played for Blackburn Rovers and scored 34 goals.
Not only the record for most goals in a single season, but Shearer holds the overall record of scoring 260 goals in the Premier League. This record is undoubtedly tough to break for other strikers.
