Japan has also launched the “Sport for Tomorrow” program, whose principles align with the spirit of collaboration seen in volleyball exchanges between Japan and the Philippines, which will further enhance the skills and also the cooperation between the two nations.

Presence of Dignitaries In the Event
The donation event for volleyball equipment by the Japan Embassy was small but it didn’t remain smaller. There was a presence of massive dignitaries during the event on 9th January 2025.
Although the event took place in Taguig City, there were people from various parts of the Philippines to support the event. Talking about big personalities, the minister along with Consul General Hanada Takahiro and the president of the Philippines Volleyball Association, Ramon Tats Suzara, were also present there.
Hanada, the minister. stated these domains would be helpful and also develop the volleyball scope in the country. Meanwhile, he also added to the close bond that Japan and the Philippines share, which goes beyond the sports field.
Besides these mentioned names, there were other personalities present too. EJ Casana, Vince Lorenzo, Thea Gagate, and Dawn Catindig highlighted the event. These are the national men’s and women’s team players for the Philippines in volleyball.

Everyone present at the event felt that the Japan Embassy’s volleyball equipment donation program would have a positive impact on the game. Hanada, the minister, exclaimed that the donation and the Philippines hosting the 2025 FIVB Men’s Volleyball World Championship will add better impact.
In light of the positive outcome, Suzara, who is also president of the volleyball association, explained that more equipment such as nets, and poles will also be coming in a few months. He stated that the Philippines government is grateful for the help and support that has come through.
In like manner, the president believes that these equipment will inject new energy and also motivate youngsters to take up the sport.

As the fans would know, the Philippines will be hosting the international event soon. This event particularly will help the development of the Philippines’ volleyball in general.
The massive event is set to take place on 12 September 2025. As fans expected, the first match will take place between the Philippines and Tunisia. This particular tournament will run for 16 days, with the final being played on 28 September 2025.
In the past, FIVB Men’s Volleyball had only 24 teams. Now, things become more exciting as the number of teams will be expanded to 32 as the game focuses on providing more opportunities to new countries.
