India Dominates Zimbabwe in Second T20I Clash
With a game in hand, Captain Shreyas Iyer led the team to a series victory. This victory comes as a massive relief for Iyer after the side lost series to Ireland and England recently.
Zimbabwe won the toss and decided to bowl first. This backfired as the Indian batters took control of the game early on. India lost two quick wickets, but the middle order did a good job to set a record target.

Critical Partnerships Stabilise the Indian Innings
India struggled initially when Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi fell early. Sooryavanshi looked dangerous, hitting 20 runs off 9 balls, including three fours and a six in one over. However, Richard Ngarava dismissed him before he could do more damage.
Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer then shared a 66-run partnership for the third wicket. Iyer scored 25 runs before he was caught trying to hit a big shot. After Iyer left, Kishan and Varma put together a stunning 94-run partnership in only 44 balls.

But Indian debutant Yash Thakur took the wicket of Bennett soon after. Thakur capped his first T20 international with 2 wickets and gave 30 runs.
Spinners and Pace Bowlers Control the Game
Abhishek Sharma took 3 wickets for just 17 runs with his left-arm spin. He removed several key batters to prevent any chance of a Zimbabwe comeback.
Ravi Bishnoi and Shivam Dube each took a wicket, while Prince Yadav took two wickets before leaving the field. Zimbabwe was eventually bowled out for 129 in 17.5 overs.
Injury Concerns Dampen India’s Victory
Despite the series win, India faces a new challenge regarding player fitness. Pacer Prince Yadav suffered a hamstring injury during the game. He clutched his leg during his second over and had to be helped off the field.
This injury will rule him out of the final T20I on Sunday. Captain Shreyas Iyer mentioned that the team might need to make several changes for the next game because of this unfortunate event.
