Wolfe Joins The Pack!! Wolverhampton Wanderers signed AZ’s left wing-back David Møller Wolfe on a five-year deal replacing Rayan Ait-Nouri, who moved to Manchester City this summer. According to the BBC, the transfer fee was worth €10 million plus €2.1 million in add-ons.
This deal marks the Wolves’ third signing of the summer after the arrivals of Colombian winger John Arias and Spanish attacking midfielder Fer Lopez. Also, David will join his fellow Norwegian teammate, Jorgen Strand Larsen, whom the club secured on a loan deal.
What did Wolfe say about his signing?
Wolfe is super excited to finally play in the Premier League and could possibly make his debut for Wolves in their final pre-season clash against Celta Vigo on Saturday, 9 August.
Talking to the club website, the twenty-three-year-old said, “I’m so, so happy and so proud to be a part of Wolves, so I’m over the moon right now.”
The former AZ defender further added, “I felt incredibly wanted from the second I talked to Domenico, and the second I talked to the coach. Obviously, the Premier League is a big, big league, especially in Norway.
It’s the biggest league that people watch, so when a Premier League club came in, and Wolverhampton came in for me, I was extremely keen on joining.”

At just 23, David Wolfe has already amassed above 190 senior appearances and brings valuable European experience to the Premier League stage.
Born and raised in Bergen, Norway, Wolfe began playing football at his hometown club, Bergen Nord. By the age of 15, he was already playing for the club’s senior team.
In 2019, he switched to SK Brann, playing for the junior team, and the following season was loaned out to Asane. Upon his return, Brann offered him a three-year contract.
Three seasons later, he moved to the Netherlands to join AZ Alkmaar, agreeing on a 5-year contract with the Dutch club. He scored three goals and played 67 matches.
On the national side, David proudly played for Norway U-17, U-18, U-20, and U-21 national teams and has been representing the Norway Senior Men Team since 2023, earning 12 caps with one international goal.

Here is my opinion on the recent transfer under manager Vitor Pereira, recruiting young and dynamic footballers is a smart move. As for Wolfe, the world already knows he is a rising star, full of enthusiasm to prove himself in the Premier League. Undoubtedly, he will shine bright in Wolverhampton. Wolfe in Wolves, it just fits!
