An absolute legend of the game, Novak Djokovic has set the record straight with Roger Federer. Novak Djokovic’s grand slam record of most single matches is now above Roger Federer.
As the absolute maestro, Djokovic competed in his 430th game against Jaime Faria, and he went on to play the most singles matches in the Grand Slam. A win in the game did put the icing on the cake.

In total, he has participated in 430 grand slam singles matches, surpassing the likes of Roger Federer and Serena Williams. The 37-year-old surely has some more matches left under his belt.
Novak Djokovic’s record is 379-511, which is much better than Roger Federer’s. As Novak plays more games, he will be chasing Roger’s record.

Novak Djokovic Win Against Jaime Faria
Novak Djokovic’s grand slam record was fulfilled in the game against Faria. A Portuguese challenger, Jaime was able to make Novak sweat for the win. Even though fans expected an easy win, it was not.
The final score of Djokovic vs Jaime read 6-1, 6-7(4), 6-3 and 6-2. Rod Laver Arena was the place where the tussle took place. Before the game against Faria though he had a good challenge with Nishesh Basavareddy.
The first round of the game with Nishesh was challenging, and the 107th rank took the challenge with Djokovic into four sets. Andy Murray, Novak’s coach, buoyed him, and we see the results.

As Novak won the game against Faria, he was over the moon. Setting the record above Federer, Novak states he loves the court. Not only that, he loves the competition that comes along the way.
Upon reaching the third round of the Australian Open for the 17th time, Djokovic believes he responded well in the 3rd and 4th set against Faria. Following the completion of the match Novak told Faria that his future is bright and should carry on.

Being active in the field of tennis for more than 2 decades, the Serbian master with the racket will break the record of 100 won matches at the Australian Open if he reaches the semifinal of 2025.
He will also be the second man to have 100 wins in the Australian Open, breaking the record. After winning his first grand slam in 2008, he has won 10 grand slam titles and is waiting to make it to 11.
The interesting Australian Open is Djokovic’s favorite slam, but he will have to play out of his skin to win the title. As tennis fans know, Novak’s form has been poor in 2024, so he will have to level up.
Novak Djokovic Upcoming Match Against Tomas Machac
Many tennis fans felt that Djokovic looked rusty in his previous game, even though he went on to win it. In the next game, he will face Tomas Machac.
Tomas is a Czech number 25 who is rapidly improving on the ATP tour. He played well against Reilly Opelka in his last match and won the game in five sets. The Serbian tennis master has his work cut out.
