The defense for the welterweight title heats up as Belal Muhammad vs Jack Della has just been announced. In the surprising turn of events, Dana White, the president of UFC, came forward to announce the title match. 

Fans were certain that the title defense would be Belal Muhammad against Shavkat Rakhmonov, but the last-minute change has rolled the eye balls once and for all. 

When Will Belal Muhammad vs Jack Della Take Place?

For all the fans who are interested in seeing the title defense fight, Belal Muhammad will go one-up against Jack Della on 10th May 2025.

This particular game will take place at Bell Center in Montreal, Canada. Interestingly, Jack will be playing in Montreal for the very first time. First appearance, that too for the title defense, sounds spicy. 

Why Was Belal Muhammad vs Shavkat Rakhmonov Changed?

Fans might not be aware, but the actual title defense of the welterweight division was to take place between Belal and Shavkat. The match was all set to be played in December 2024.

However, Belal went on to have a last-minute bone infection in his foot, which forced him to take his name out of the fight. Even after the injury, the fight was placed at the start of 2025, but that too couldn’t happen. 

Shavkat has also been suffering from lingering injury, which has made it impossible for him to fight at the start of the year. As luck has it, Shavkat will be replaced by Jack Della for the title fight.
