Even though South Africa chased down the total beyond 280 in the fourth innings, it was the bowlers who resulted in South Africa winning the WTC 2025.
Australia batted first and weren’t allowed to take over. Rabada took 5 wickets while Jansen had 3 to help South Africa restrict Australia to 212 runs.
Meanwhile, even in the second innings of Australia, it was the bowlers who didn’t let the Aussies batter settle. At one point, the Australians were 7 wickets down for 73 runs.
Rabada took 4 wickets while Lungi Ngidi had 3 to help South Africa bowl out Australia for a mere 207 runs. Therefore, the target was easily chased.
