The 2025 VALORANT Esports World Cup is in the final stage as the two competitive teams, Fnatic and Team Heretics, have successfully reached the final of the World Cup following the intense semifinal matchups held on July 12, 2025.
In the semi-final of the 2025 VALORANT Esports World Cup, four teams clashed with each other, but it was Fnatic and Team Heretics that stood out as the best performers against their opponents, Paper Rex and Gen.G Esports, to seal their spot in the Grand Final.

During the semi-finals that were set between Fnatic, Paper Rex, Gen.G Esports, and Team Heretics on July 12, the esports fans around the world got to witness the exciting match that would be remembered for ages. Fnatic and Team Heretics took down their respective opponents in a dominant way to seal their spot in the final of the 2025 VALORANT Esports World Cup.
All teams looked confident following their incredible victory in the quarterfinals with 2-0 sweeps against their opponents.
Paper Rex defeated Sentinels, Fnatic took out Karmine Corp., Team Heretics overpowered BBL Esports, and Gen.G defeated NRG to seal their respective spots in the semi-finals.
Match 1: Fnatic vs Paper Rex (2-1)
In the first semi-final of the 2025 VALORANT Esports World Cup, Fnatic played against Paper Rex, who have recently won the big VCT Masters tournaments in Toronto. However, the confidence and the early pressure against Paper Rex led Fnatic to deliver a reverse sweep against Paper Rex. A total of 3 games were played, in which Paper Rex successfully won the first map by 13-10.

In the meantime, Fnatic planned an incredible comeback in the second map. On Ascent, Fnatic played incredibly to win the map by 13-3. With this, the competition headed towards the decider map.
In the third map, Split, Fnatic did not allow Paper Rex to overcome the pressure, which led them to win the game by 13-8. As a result, Fnatic headed into the final of the World Cup with a 2-1 series lead.
Match 2: Team Heretics vs Gen.G Esports (2-1)
In the second semi-final of the 2025 VALORANT Esports World Cup, Team Heretics dominated Gen.G Esports in another three-map. The semi-finals had three maps: Ascent, Haven, and Lotus. In the very first map (Ascent), Team Heretics started strong as they successfully held a 7-5 defensive half along with a clean attack.
They won the first map by 13-7. However, in the second map (Haven), Gen.G Esports displayed comeback spirit as they controlled the map early and closed out the series by 13-8.
In the decider map (Lotus), Gen.G Esports lost the momentum, which led Team Heretics to dominate early. Team Heretics won the series by 16-6 and headed to the Grand Final of the 2025 VALORANT Esports World Cup 2025.
[UPDATE] Team Heretics Won the Valorant Esports World Cup title
Following the intense semi-finals, Team Heretics and Fnatic clashed in a high-stakes final held on 13 July at 7:15 PM SGT/4:00 AM PST. In the final of the 2025 VALORANT Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Team Heretics claimed the crown as they won the tournament by an epic 3-2 comeback against Fnatic in a five-game series.
Fnatic was the one who started strong and dominated Team Heretics from the very beginning of the game. With incredible clutch performances from Kaajak, Crashies, and Alfajer, they dominated the first two maps, Lotus and Sunset, by 13-4 and 13-1.
However, in the third map on Icebox, Team Heretics made an epic comeback that shook the world. They won the third map in a close contest by 13-11. Benjyfishy and Wo0t displayed their true potential in the fourth map Haven, which led Team Heretics to win the series by 13-10.
The final map, Ascent, was no different than the others since Team Heretics pulled off an incredible gameplay to seal the title with a 13-10 win. With the total team coordination, Team Heretics lifted the title of the 2025 VALORANT Esports World Cup.
