As the Volleyball Nations League comes closer, fans, along with the Italian team, are excited. They will be debuting in the tournament that will start in June.
Italy Volleyball Nations League 2025 will be accompanied by some friendly matches, which will help them to excel. Let’s know in detail how the games and schedule are for the Italians.
Italy Volleyball Nations League 2025
The Volleyball Nations League will be a multi-country event. Italy will debut from 11th June to 15th June against the likes of Bulgaria, Germany, France, and Argentina.
As the first stage is done, they will be part of the second stage, which will consist of games against Poland, China, Brazil, and the USA. These matches will take place from 25th June to 30th June in the USA.
Following those matches, the third week will have the assistance of matches against Serbia, Ukraine, Slovenia, and the Netherlands. These games will be played from 16th July to 20th July in Slovenia.
If Italy moves ahead with a good performance, they will be part of the finals that will be played from the 30th of July to the 3rd of August in Beilun Gymnasium in Ningbo, China. Fair to say that the Italy Volleyball Nations League 2025 journey will move to new places.

Italy Will Play Friendlies Before the Main Tournament
Italy will play some friendly games before being part of the VNL. These games will be against Iran and Germany. Termed as friendlies, the rivalry and competition will be nothing like friends.
The matches are scheduled for 30th May and 31st May. Following these friendlies, Germany will go for the Silesia Cup starting from 28th May to 31st May. Fair to say it will be good match practice for all of the teams.
The World Championship Schedule
Good news for volleyball fans doesn’t stop right there. The World Championship in volleyball, which used to be held in 4 years, will now be held every two years.
Looking at the excitement and the interest of the fans, the decision has been taken. The move will be from even to odd years now.
Italy, being the defending champion of the tournament, will now be competing again. The 2025 edition of Volleyball Men’s World Championship will begin on 12th September and run until 28th September.
In order to include more teams and make volleyball more inclusive, the number of teams will be increased to 32 from 24, which presents more opportunities.
The 2025 edition of the tournament will take place in the Philippines, which opens new horizons for the development of the game. Only time will tell whether Italy will defend its title or not.
