Talking about Cricbuzz, Karthik hinted that Axar Patel will lead the team and not KL Rahul. Dinesh’s claim about Patel being the skipper comes on the back of him being chosen vice-captain for the England T20I series.
Sharing his thoughts, Dinesh Karthik said he heard that Axar Patel will be the new skipper of the side. I wish him all the very best and hope he can sow the way for good wins. This has created massive ripples.
Even if Axar becomes the skipper of Delhi Capitals, it won’t be a significant surprise. He is the highest-paid retained player for DC before the 2025 mega auction. Patel was retained for Rs 16.5 crores.
