As the Volleyball League came to a close, teams like China, Thailand, and the Baltic League went on to win the ultimate title. It was the 2nd title win for China, and they were unbeatable.
Talking about the volleyball league in detail, a team from Thailand, along with the Baltic League, also went on to make the right move and won games. Let’s dive into detail as to how the games panned out.
China Wins The Volleyball League
The game for Jiangsu Zenith Steel Nanjing turned out to be better as they won the game, claiming their 2nd title. It was a best-of-three game against Shanghai Bright Ubest, in which Zenith won two matches.
The first game between the two sides took place on 1st March when Zenith won by a 3-0 margin, 25-18, 25-10 & 25-17.
The second game was also taken by Jiangsu Zenith Steel by a 3-1 margin, 17-25, 25-21, 25-22, 25-23 in Changzhou. With the amount of experience and talent, the win for Zenith seemed quite easy.
Jiangsu’s 22-year-old Wu Mengjie was named the most valuable player for the season. Alongside Wu, Xia Ding, Gong Xiangyu, outside hitter Li Ying Ying and the middle blockers Wang Yuanyuan, Hu Mingyuan, and Libero Ni Feifan in the dream team.
On the men’s side, though, the win came for Shanghai Guangming, who won their 18th title against Baoding Woli, the hosts, with a 3-1 margin (17-25, 25-22, 25-22, 25-22). The men’s MVP player title was won by 29-year-old middle blocker Zhang Zhejia.
Baltic League Turn Out Victorious
The volleyball league finals took place for the Baltic League, which the Estonian City of Tartu hosted. Estonia and Latvia took part in the match, but Lithuania decided not to be part of the tournament.
Bigbank Tartu went on to win their 6th title with a win over Estonia Parnu in the final in front of 1500 spectators for the match. Bigbank Tartu went on to win the game 3-1 and maintain an easy charm.
The great game presence of Bigbank can be known by the fact that their player, Valentin Kordas, was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the Match award.
Furthermore, the dream team combined players like Carlos Paez Diaz, Martti Juhkami, Stefan Kaibad, Eriks Voronko, Toms Svans, Henri Treial, Livero Silver Maar, etc.
Thailand: The Ultimate Winner
The men’s and women’s volleyball final was hosted by Mall Lifestore Bnagkhae’s MCC Hall in Bangkok, which provided brilliant games.
Nakhon Ratchasima QminC went on to win their third consecutive title, beating the likes of Diamond Foo Fine Chef Samut Sakhon; this was Nakhon’s 10th title.
Anurak Phanram was awarded the Most Valuable Player of the season from the title-winning team. In the case of Thailand, though, the dream team looked much more compliant.
Bonnyarit Wongtorn, Khangal Tamiraa, Abdullah Cam, Jakkrit Thanomnoi, Kritsada Nilsawai, Anuchit Phakdeekaew, Libero Jakkapong Tongklang made it into the dream team.
In addition, women’s volleyball had similar wins. Supreme TIP Chonburi went on to defeat KKU Khonkaen Star 3-0 (25-13, 25-20, 25-13), winning their 4th national crown. In the women’s league, Pleumjit Thinkaow was also named the middle blocker and awarded the “Most Valuable Player” award.
