Unstoppable! Pakistan Storms Into U-16 Volleyball Semifinals With Perfect Record

Pakistan U16 volleyball team jump to hit ball

Pakistan’s Under-16 volleyball team is turning heads in Thailand! The Green Shirts have bulldozed their way into the semifinals of the Asian U-16 Volleyball Championship with a flawless record—four straight-set victories, zero dropped sets, and a ticket to the 2026 U-17 World Championship already secured.

Their most recent conquest? A dominant 3-0 sweep over Indonesia that sealed their spot in the last four.

[REPORT] Pakistan’s Perfect Run: 4 Wins, 0 Sets Lost

Pakistan’s great run at the 2025 Asian U-16 Volleyball Championship went on with another strong game—this time against Indonesia in the crossover round.

The win was clear (25-23, 25-20, 25-20) and showed both talent and hard work, especially after coming back from a surprising 3-12 score in the first set. The answer? Pakistan ended Group F without losing, just like Iran, and both teams are going to the semifinals on July 19.

But there is more. This win also showed that Pakistan qualified for the 2026 FIVB U-17 World Championship because they finished in the top four in this tournament.

[UPDATE] Big Names Step Up Big Time

Like fighters in green, Pakistan’s young stars have been unstoppable. Muhammad Junaid stood out in the game against Indonesia, scoring 15 points, 10 of those from strong attacks.=

Faizanullah added 11 points, and Saran Baig and Talha Maher stayed strong at the net. They have won many times to reach the semifinals.

The Green Shirts played South Korea and won 3-0 (25-16, 25-19, 25-8), starting strong. Talha, Wahab, Irfan, Sanan, Faizan, and Junaid worked together very well.

Next, they easily beat Saudi Arabia (25-14, 25-13, 25-11), and then they won against Chinese Taipei (26-24, 25-14, 25-16) with great skill.

[WHAT’S HAPPENING] Iran Awaits: Semifinal Clash Loading

According to reports, Pakistan and Iran will play against each other today to find out who wins the crossover round. Even though both teams are in the semifinals, the result will decide their spots for the final match.

The tournament, held in Nakhon Pathom and Ratchaburi, Thailand, has 16 teams playing in four groups. Only four teams can go to the 2026 U-17 World Championship, so Pakistan’s early success is even more important.

Pakistan’s strong defence, smart play, and skill to change the game’s flow have been important. They have always been strong in attack and block points, but teams like Indonesia have challenged them on service.

[TRENDING] A Title in Sight? Why This Matters

Yes, you heard that right—Pakistan needs to win two more times to get the big prize. Their semi-final game could be a big moment for young volleyball in the country.

If they keep playing like this, they might not just get to the final but also win the trophy, changing the volleyball scene in Asia. Pakistan’s success shows that volleyball in Pakistan has a good future.

Now that we have qualified for the U-17 World Championship, we are focused on winning the title—a trophy that would make this team’s mark in history.

Jyoti Sharma’s Take

As a writer and volleyball journalist and enthusiast, though I cover volleyball with a magnifying glass, the energy I saw in this Pakistani volleyball unit was no different from a raider breaking through six defenders.

The chemistry, grit, and momentum swings remind me of volleyball’s own drama. This team deserves the spotlight.

Their pace, precision, and unity echo the heartbeat of Asian youth sports.
