The world of volleyball is seeing some massive uproar as Hawaii beach volleyball coach Evan Silberstein has been dismissed from his role. The performance of the Hawaii team hasn’t been up to the mark, which has led to the decision.
Upon media interaction, Silberstein stated that he did everything possible with the Hawaii beach volleyball program. Interestingly, someone new will come up and try to make the change.
Contributions of Evan Silberstein
As Hawaii beach volleyball coach Evan Silberstein has been dismissed, it is critical to look back at what Evan has achieved for his club. Well, the contributions have been massive. He has guided the Rainbow Wahine to the NCAA Tournament in the first 3 seasons.
Being the head coach, Silberstein has contributed better, but losing the first season in beach volleyball (14-21) meant that the downward spiral had just started for Evan.

Talking to Spectrum News, Evan said that he was more than grateful for the 11 years and would love to remember it as a good time.
During his exit from the position, Evan stated that there has been heavy investment from big parties, and the landscape has dramatically changed in recent years. Clearly, Evan wasn’t happy with how things had been going forward in the game.
“We’re not anywhere near tapping the resource locally.” “That’s where it really needs to get done. Maybe this will be my opportunity to teach people about what’s really needed in our community, which is high school and juniors beach volleyball everywhere.”
Records of Evan Silberstein
Not only the contribution but also the record of Evan Silberstein is brilliant. He is the 4th head coach in the program’s history and has a record of 89-59 in the last 4 years.
Before being the head coach of the side, he was the assistant for 7 years for Jeff Hall for 6 years and Angelica Ljungqvist for 1 year. It was following the 7-year work Evan was hired as a full-time head coach in 2022.
Views Of Athletic Director Lois Manin About Evan Silberstein
As Lois Manin announced on Wednesday, the Hawaii volleyball setup was sent into shock. The news came forward that the 4-year head coach has not been retained for the position.
Addressing the media, Lois in regards to Evan Silberstein, stated that we have decided to move in a different direction in the case of the beach volleyball coaching stint.
Lois thanked Evan for his contribution and thanked him for everything he did as an assistant and head coach.
“We have decided to move in a different direction with our beach volleyball program.” “We appreciate everything Evan has given to this program as both an assistant and head coach and we wish him well.”
Lois also wished the former coach good luck. This is the first big decision made by Lois in the case of a head coach change following his appointment on 1st December.
Who Will Take The Role Of Evan Silberstein?
There has been a major question about who will fill the successful role of Silberstein in his absence. The contract of Evan Silberstein will end on 31st May.
Until the selection of a new head coach, the interim work will be performed by Nick Castello, who is currently the UH indoor assistant.
